"Teacher
Graduate Study Tuition Grant"Any
full-time, continuing contract teacher in Greenwood School
districts 50, 51 or 52 who is working on or plans to begin work
on a masters degree in teaching, counseling or as a media
specialist can apply for funds. This grant reimburses one-half of
the tuition for courses toward their advanced education.
"By receiving partial reimbursement for my classes, I have been
able to work on my masters degree in Natural Science and
Secondary Education. These classes have extended my knowledge of
sciences, effective educational practices, research findings and
National Boards. I have a Biology degree, but teach integrated
science which incorporates all the sciences. My courses broaden
my content base, help me grow professionally and improve as an
educator. It's exciting and rewarding to share with my students
new knowledge, activities and ideas."
