Greenwood County Oral History Project
As an ongoing project, Greenwood area people are recording the
past as they lived it on audio tape, with supporting video. These
memories will be made available to the community (schools,
historical groups, workshops, etc.) for educational purposes
through The Museum, Lander University, the Greenwood County
Library, and the South Carolina Department of Archives and
History.

period, the excitement of capturing these firsthand experiences
of our past continues to build. We are recording history in its
finest format with a unique appeal that will continue to educate
and entertain generations to come with personal stories of
